Super Bowl
The way the announcers are talking and the Redskins are acting, you would think they are winning the Super Bowl today. I know they're playing the Cowboys who are the number one team in the NFC, but come on.
Maybe since the Cowboys are resting most of their players the announcers just need something to talk about. But let me remind you, this is not the Super Bowl and Todd Collins is not Joe Montana.
Good luck next week in the Wild Card round Redskins. Hope you like the plane ride to Seattle.
Amazing.

Christmas
We had a very special visitor show up on Christmas Eve to see the kids...and us. I know that the kids loved having good old Santa there in person and I think Crystal had some fun too. Check out these great photos from Christmas Eve:
Then on to Christmas day. I have to say that my kids really did get all the wanted for Christmas. It looked like my daughter wanted anything with High School Musical on it and my son wanted anything Spiderman or Transformers.
Overall we had a great and wonderful Christmas. Hope everyone else did too.

Polar Express
One of my faithful readers was here with us this past weekend. My sister Cheri and her husband Michael were in town for Christmas. And yes, it was a lot of fun hanging out with them.
So we usually do something special with the kids before Christmas and this year we headed up to the Kansas Cosmosphere and IMAX theatre to see the Polar Express. It was pretty cool to see the movie on the IMAX screen.
Here are some pictures of the Space Shuttle and a cool shot of an SR-71 Blackbird that was inside.

Snow
Well, I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Sorry I've taken a few days off from this thing but here is what has happened over the past few days with us:
First we had a blizzard come through last Saturday that brought in over 6 inches. I know that may not classify as a blizzard but during the day the wind was moving over 25 miles per hour and the blowing snow made visibility zero.
Here is the measurement outside our back door.
It was over 15 inches. Have I ever told you how much I love snow?

More Snow
Yep, I'm in the middle of a blizzard once again. Lucky for me this one is only supposed to last for today.
And no ice.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I won't say
Ok, some of you have said that I talk too much about a certain movie. So I promise that I won't mention it by name.
Just check out the video below. That's all I need to say.

MJ
Look who's back on the court....
Ok, it was just for a practice with the Bobcats. But it sure is great to see MJ back on the court.
6 titles...those were the days. I wonder when the new Jordans come out....

Let it Snow
Well we had our snowstorm Friday night and into Saturday. I think we ended up with over 3 inches here in Wichita. What is weird just about an hour north of us was hit with over 13 inches!

Alexis Birthday
Well the two months of birthdays have come to an end. A month ago we had a Spider-man party for Caden and yesterday we celebrated Alexis' 7th birthday High School Musical style.
One of her gifts was the High School Musical Sing It game for the NIntendo Wii. Here's a secret for you out there...just grab two Wii's and let the kids play. But the boys won't play the High School Musical game...they stuck with Dodgeball.
Happy birthday!

Snow
That's right. Snow. We're looking at 4"-8". Looks like we'll be making a snowman and playing in the snow tomorrow.
I miss 70 degree and sunny weather.
But I guess snow is fun too.

Old Times
Over the past few weeks I've had two different people mention my old podcast to me. Yes, I had my own podcast for 40 glorious episodes. Not just sermons...original content.
So now I'm going back to check out all the old podcasts. The only place you can get them is on itunes. If you really want something to sleep to or to listen to while you're bored, just open itunes and put my name in the search box.
You should come across both an audio and video version. The video version starts at Episode 14.
I'm listening to the first one right now. Wow, brings back old times.
Go ahead, give it a listen.

Great
Yep, this is what I woke up to today. And Crystal and I stayed up late last night to watch the news to check on school closings.
It felt like I was in Junior High again...waiting to see if my school was listed.
In the end Alexis has a day off.

Is Europe a Country?
You really just need to watch this video with Kellie Pickler...if you don't know who she is, she was on American Idol a couple years ago.
I don't want to make fun of anyone, I'm sure there is a lot of pressure when you're actually on one of these shows.
Wow.

Leopard
Yep, I've been running on the new OS X Leopard for about a week now and I have to say that I'm impressed. There are several new options that I've been using a lot so far. It seems that I can't wait to try out something new.
The new features in iChat and Photo Booth are great. Time Machine is really useful. But the one thing I'm the most surprised with is the Safari web browser. I was told that it ran really fast on Leopard but I started out using good old Firefox. But every once in a while I would head over to Safari to surf the web...and wow I'm impressed. So for the time being I'm going to be using Safari full time.
Once I really tried to get to know the features in Safari I have realized how much easier it is to use.
Anyway, enough of me talking about this stuff. If you really are thinking about making the switch to a Mac but are worried to lose your PC, just check out this story.

Little Rock Star
So I'm hanging out at Best Buy yesterday with my son and I see some video game demos. So of course we head over to check them out. They had Rock Band up and running for everyone to try out. So we did. First Caden took on the drums and I tried out the guitar. Then he moved to lead guitar and I rocked out on the drums. We looked a lot like rock stars.
Here's even a little picture to prove it.
Ok, so the truth is we didn't last too long on the game. But it sure made waiting for Crystal a lot more fun.

Myspace
Well Myspace is acting like I don't exist. One day I could log into my account and the next day it was like I didn't exist.
So if you were on my friend list please check out my site and let me know if its still there. I tried to go directly to the site and it gave me an error message there too.
So now I'm in talks with the Myspace help desk. Fun.
My final question about this ordeal is...do I even care?
