2nd Chances

Last week I posted about the truth behind the song Healer. And over the past week I've read several great blogs that talk about our reaction to this revelation.

Anyway, I came across another blog today that talked about the situation from a different perspective. It talked for the first time about Mike Guglielmucci's wife. You can read the post here.

It just made me stop and think a little bit about what's going on with that family right now. It just made me think that when I sin or mess up it doesn't just affect me. It directly touches my family and those that I love. I think one of the lies we often believe is that our decisions are just about us. It doesn't matter what we do, we're not hurting anyone else. But sin reaches out much farther than that. It destroys everything around it and hurts the ones we care about the most.
